Smoking bill takes a further step to protecting 60,000 Scottish children

Commenting after the stage 2 debate of his Smoking (Children in Vehicles) (Scotland) Bill passed its Committee stage today, Scottish Liberal Democrat South Scotland MSP Jim Hume said:

“We are a step closer to protecting the 60,000 children trapped in smoke-filled cars each week. With the Parliament supportive of the Bill, I am looking forward to the final stage of this Bill in the near future.

“I hope that the cross-party support continues and I look forward to 60,000 children being protected from cigarette smoke in cars, giving them the smoke free start in life they deserve.”
